May 21, 2011

What will you be doing on May 21st? Me? Cleaning the yard - the house- cooking and playing with the kiddos. It's Saturday and that's what we do. Will tomorrow be any different? No - not at all. This article made me sad when I read it. Houses divided.  There are other articles out there and some I wanted to link to but the comment section was so rude and crude I refrained. A very long time ago a Pastor said these words to someone who was arguing Heaven and Hell. He said "I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it". I am 100% certain that God is real and that there is a Heaven and Hell. I have never waivered on that thought. I don't always live as though Jesus may be returning in that hour. In fact, I would be very embarrassed at times if He chose to come back at a time when I am not in line with what I believe His Will is.

Jesus said in John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (NIV) and in Revelations 2:25 he said "Only hold on to what you have until I come. (NIV) and further in Revelations 22:7 he says "Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.". What about what the Angels said in Acts 1:11? "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

The Bible is clear that He will come again.  I'm not a scholar and certainly have NEVER tried to predict when He will return.  What I know is that I am saved by His grace and am promised eternal life with Him.  He reigns and He lives.  If May 21, 2011 happens to be the day He chooses to return then glory to God!

So I pray that you know Him and that you have that security.

Love you guys.
